About Us
Organs Studios is a project that began around a small dining room table in Roxbury as a promise to foster continued collaboration in a world that lauds staunch individualism. Inspired by the peer-to-peer learning model and community-driven spirit of the Studio for Interrelated Media, founded in 1969 by Harris and Ross Barron, our studio is a vehicle for that sustained collaboration. 

Our studio strives to put equal emphasis on both the technical and the fine art aspects of our members’ practices. Through this, we’ve built a strong team that understands the full picture of installation work and transformative space-making. We run shows, host vendor events, design spaces and support the individual practices of our members.  

We are writers, performers, producers, lighting designers, painters, collage makers, projectionists, comics, sewists, sculptors, photographers, musicians, sound engineers, and film makers. We are vital.
